Pinky Lilani
Maslaha met with Pinky Lilani to talk about her life, work and inspiration.
Pinky is the founder of Spice Magic, where she teaches people how to cook Indian food with love. The classes can be put on for a great party or to strengthen relationships with colleagues. Pinky emphasised the power of food to bring people together and recognise what they share, as well as being the most universal way of giving selflessly. In the spirit of selflessness Pinky has made sure that she has used her own success to help others on their way by celebrating achievement and championing rising stars at the Women of the Future Awards, which she created to reward women under the age of 35 who have done great things.
This year winners included Bola Agbaje, a playwright whose work has been performed at the Royal court and has garnered an Olivier Award, and Thea Green, the founder of the Nails Inc chain of manicure bars.
